From the 5th to the 14th of February 2023, trainers from Brightson Consultancy Firm supported the WARDI organization in conducting a 10-day training for DHMT members from six districts in the Banadir region: Hamarweyne, Hamarjajab, Shangani, Howlwadag, Dharkinley, and Kahda. The training was part of a health program titled “Improving the quality of nationally coordinated health services in Somalia by strengthening the health system in Banadir, Somalia,” funded by Action Medeor. The overall purpose of the training was to build the capacity of DHMT members to effectively manage health services in the six target districts of Banadir. A total of 24 DHMT members (15 female and 9 male) participated in the training; the DHMT members trained are from the targeted six districts in Mogadishu. Six district health officers (DHOs), six health information management specialists (HIMS), a district polio officer (DPO), and the DSMC were among the trainees.
